At Congregation Beth Tikvah, participation in various types of social action endeavors or tikkun olam (repairing the world) is one of our highest priorities. We are committed to the ongoing improvement of the outside communities in which we live. Over the years, Congregation Beth Tikvah has been involved in a number of initiatives to enhance the quality of life in and around Burlington and Camden Counties, as well as the Greater Philadelphia area. We feel this involvement is another part of what makes us special.

We continuously lend our support to such organizations
as Jewish Family and Children’s Services, Alex's Lemonade Stand,
Operation Backpack, Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, Jewish Relief
Agency and Samaritan Hospice, just to name a few. We also sponsor Red
Cross Blood Drives annually, and we deliver Mitzvah meals to our own
families in need.
All congregants are welcome to participate, at whatever level you
choose. New ideas for tikkun olam projects, large or small, are always
encouraged. This year some interesting new projects are being planned,
including cooking dinner at the Ronald McDonald House in Philadelphia
and putting on a show at a local assisted living facility.
If you would like to participate in one of our social action projects or join our committee, please contact the social action chairperson, Elissa Geron, at (856) 983-8090 or office@btikvah.org
